Client Support Representative

The Client Support Representative provides administrative support to the Expatriate Tax Group, and/or to Corporate Tax Group, and/or  Bookkeeping & Payroll Group.
 
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
TAX Admin – Personal & Corporate

  • Prepare and organize working paper files for tax return preparation
  • Assemble Canadian Personal and Corporate Returns and US Personal Returns
  • Process Returns to be EFILED and ensure Returns are accepted by the government agency, follow up with outstanding authorization forms
  • Prepare documents to the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) on a daily basis
  • Assist in the creating the client authorization list and distributing/releasing the appropriate Tax Data Organizers
  • May be asked to contact government agencies to request for extensions, verify information and request payment adjustments/allocations as necessary

 
BOOKKEEPING & PAYROLL Admin

  • Scan bookkeeping source documents
  • Ensure bookkeeping source document are returned to the client when BK task is completed, track and keep records of returned, as well as, in-house source documents
  • Pick up/Deliver documents to BK clients within the downtown core

 
Trowbridge Client Support (TCS Admin)

  • Assist in monitoring clientsupport@trowbridge.ca outlook account, in the absence of the Client Support Lead
  • Direct tax related questions regarding completing the Tax Data Organizer, client’s Return and tax concerns to the appropriate Professional staff
  • Assist clients with difficulties navigated the Client Portal/Sharefile, such as, uploading/downloading information via the client portal, resetting user password to client portal
  • Respond to internal and external customer problems and inquires, determines appropriate action; and resolves issues or forwards to appropriate person for resolutions

 
General Administration

  • Setup New Clients and tasks into the Firm database and systems
  • Maintain and update client database ensuring accurate of client information
  • Organize, scan and upload source documents into the document management system
  • Assists with filing, correspondence, faxing, preparation and distribution of documents and other materials, and photocopying for Professional staff as required
  • Serve as a backup Reception, as needed

Performing other duties as assigned by the Partners, Managers, CEO
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUATION REQUIREMENTS:
 
Knowledge/Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in customer services in an accounting or professional service Firm
  • Working knowledge or experience in the accounting industry with a particular emphasis on tax, bookkeeping and payroll

 
Education

  • Bachelors degree or community college diploma, in Business Administration, Project Management or equivalent

  • Familiar with TaxPrep and Prosystemsfx
  • Willingness to learn new software packages

 
WORKING CONDITIONS

May be required to work outside regular hours to meet workload demands and/or deadlines
